I think its because of metal's heat conducting properties.

actually , it is right but you really need to explain.metal is a conductor which means heat travels through it.when you touch metal it takes heat away from your hand that's why it feels so cold.

What container will least insulate a cold drink?

A metal container will least insulate a cold drink compared to other materials such as plastic or glass because metal has higher thermal conductivity, meaning it allows heat to transfer more quickly between the drink and the external environment. This can lead to faster heat exchange and warming of the cold drink inside the metal container.

Do metal keep drinks cold?

Yes, metal can help keep drinks cold because it has good thermal conductivity which allows it to absorb and transfer heat quickly. This means that a metal can or container will help to maintain the cold temperature of the drink for a longer period of time compared to other materials.

What does physical property of a metal mean?

Physical properties of a metal refer to characteristics such as density, conductance of heat and electricity, malleability, ductility, and luster. These properties are inherent to the metal and help distinguish it from other materials.

What kind of materials do you use to find if ice can melt faster in hot or cold water?

chocolate

What water will rust the fastest cold or hot water?

warm water will rust metal faster

How is your hand cold when you put it on an iron railing?

The iron railing conducts heat away from your hand faster than the surrounding air, making it feel cold despite being at the same temperature. Heat transfer through conduction is more efficient in materials like metal than in air.

How does the material of the container affect its melting time of the ice?

The material of the container affects the rate at which heat is transferred to the ice. Materials with higher thermal conductivity, like metal, will melt the ice faster as they transfer heat more efficiently than materials with lower thermal conductivity, like plastic or Styrofoam. So, a metal container will lead to faster melting of ice compared to a plastic or foam container.

Does Sound wave travel slowest through a hot materials or a cold materials?

Sound waves generally travel faster through hot materials compared to cold materials because the molecules in hot materials are more energetic and can transmit vibrations more quickly. Cold materials have slower molecular movement, which can hinder the speed at which sound waves travel.

What is denser hot metal or cold metal?

Cold metal.

Is a metal door knob a good insulator?

Metal door knobs are not good insulators as metals are conductive materials that allow heat to transfer easily. This means that metal door knobs can conduct heat and cold, making them poor insulators compared to materials such as plastic or rubber.

Why does ice cool faster on ice?

I think it has something 2 do with friction of 2 same materials i am really not sure! i think this is because cold on cold is going to make it even colder.

Is metal or copper good to keep things cold?

Metal is a good conductor of heat, so it can help keep things cold by transferring heat away. Copper is even better at conducting heat than most metals, so it is also good at keeping things cold. Both metal and copper can be effective materials for keeping things cold when used in coolers or refrigeration systems.
