No, mongooses mostly eat insects, occasionally small birds and reptiles. A mongoose would keep well clear of a cat of any age. Still, I wouldn't suggest keeping a mongoose as a pet. They are highly social animals and will not do well away from their troop.

∙ 13y agoI imagine so. Mongoose will eat dangerous snakes such as cobras, so a non venemous kingsnake should be an easy meal for a mongoose.
