Bring your home into the Halloween spirit with lively decorations without making multiple trips to the store where you will spend your entire paycheck. You can save money by repurposing items that are recyclable for homemade decorations. Make your decorations rather than filling your shelves with mass-produced items for a custom-made Halloween decor that will make your house the envy of the neighborhood. Here are some ideas for homemade items to add to your Halloween dcor featuring two commonly used recyclable items -- plastic shopping bags and newspaper.
Plastic BagsFill white plastic shopping bags with a ball made of additional plastic bags so you have a round head shape. Tie a string around the bag to secure the head. Cut the rest of the plastic bag in 1-inch-wide vertical strips. Draw a ghostly face on the head of the ghost; hang the ghost from a tree or your ceiling.
Stuff a large orange plastic trash bag with leaves that you have raked up in your yard; you can purchase orange trash bags in place of black ones for the occasion. Draw a jack-o-lantern face on the front of the bag. Paint the top of the bag where it is tied together using green paint. Set the pumpkin next to your entrance way for an all-weather jack-o-lantern.
NewspaperCut sheets of newspaper into 3-inch assorted Halloween-inspired shapes, such as ghosts, pumpkins, leaves, and witch hats. Paint each shape accordingly to conceal the black ink from the newsprint. Paint the different paper shapes in detail, or paint all of them in Halloween colors of orange and black, depending on your dcor. Punch a hole in the center of the objects with a hole punch tool. String the objects along a piece of twine for an instant garland. Or make a wreath by bending a wire coat hanger into a circle, untwist the top, and thread each object along the circular frame. Retwist the ends and use the hook at the top for a wreath hanger.
By reusing plastic shopping bags and newspaper you can fill your house and outdoor space with nearly free Halloween dcor simply by using your imagination and creativity.

There are a lot of Halloween items that you can reuse for your Christmas decorations. For example, if you used candles as part of your Halloween festivities, these can add to a very tasteful Christmas setting.
You could use little bat and pumpkin toys. You could also use funny shaped Halloween candy like eyes, or fangs, skeleton bones ... anything Halloween-ish. Perhaps you could even include items coloured black, e.g. black pens or pencils.
You could do a 'Nightmare Before Christmas' theme, like the movie, and use all your scary Halloween decorations for that. Or, instead of buying orange colors, buy black and white Halloween decorations and use the white ones for Christmas.
it sort of depends on how you use it i mean sure its possible.
Why isn't aluminum foil recyclable? Earth's longevity obviates the fact that we, as humans, are recyclable. Please dispose of those glass bottles in the bin for recyclables. Thank you.
Personally I have found that in the Halloween Holiday I use fake pumpkins to decorate the outside of my house. When this holiday is over I am able to recycle them and use them to decorate Halloween. All I do is add more to the pumpkin such as maybe glue some leaves and brown colored flowers to it to make a nice Thanksgiving themed arrangement.
Seasonal items like Halloween decoration are often sold at a deep discount once the holiday is over. A store cannot use them for another year, so they will take up space in a warehouse if they are not sold.
A waterbottle is usually made out of plastic and plants, which make it 100% recyclable and more environmentally friendly for people to dispose of after one use.
It depends what you're trying to put in them. Items like food and newspapers should be automatically recyclable. If not, wait for a new patch, chances are Maxis will have fixed it. - Hope this helped!
