There may be a sandy and dusty grid on a new concrete driveway due to wind blowing debris onto the concrete when drying. This may have also been mixed into the cement while it was being made.
When there is a huge demand of power and people feel generating electricity is cheaper than purchasing it, Captive power plants are made. Excess generation of CPP can be sold through grid. On the other hand Independent power plants are made for supplying to grid only.
Load rejection occurs when load is suddenly removed from the generator. The most obvious example of this is the breaker connecting the generator to the power grid opens. This results in a full load rejection. Load pick up means the generator is supplying power to a given load. When a generator comes on line, it will pick up some load that might have been supplied by another generator.
1. Turn Electronic Governor Switch on. 2. Open casing drain valves 3. Check bearing oil levels 4. Reset Over-speed Trip 5. Put bearing cooling water on 6. Crack exhaust (outlet steam header) and adjust drain valves accordingly 7. When warm crack inlet steam valve allowing turbine to run at 10rpm 8. Check bearing oil rings 9. Look for carbine seal run offs 10. When turbine is warm fully open inlet steam valve and allow governor to take control to 2200rpm 11. Use speed knob to raise speed to 3600rpm 12. Turn Field Excitation Switch on 13. Check incoming and grid voltages and match turbine generator excitation to grids voltage using the field excitation rheostat. 14. Use speed knob to reach 60hz 15. Turn on synchronization switch to the synchroscope 16. Adjust turbine speed to adjust the phase angle/frequency to a steady slow clockwise rotation on the synchroscope. 17. Close generator breaker at the 5min to 12'oclock position on the synchroscope. 18.Turn of the synchronization switch to the synchroscope. The turbine is now synchronized to the 60Hz power grid.

Yes, you can put grass over concrete to create a green space in a paved area by using artificial turf or installing a grass grid system that allows grass to grow through the concrete.
There are three varieties of pentagrids. Initial type - 6A7 type (converter). Grid 1 - oscillator grid, Grid 2 - oscillator anode, Grid 3 - screen grid, Grid 4 - signal grid, Grid 5 - screen grid. Development - 6SA7/1R5 type (converter). Grid 1 - oscillator grid, Grid 2 - screen grid, Grid 3 - signal grid, Grid 4 - screen grid, Grid 5 - suppressor grid. Development - 6L7 (mixer). Grid 1 - signal grid, Grid 2 - screen grid, Grid 3 - oscillator injection grid, Grid 4 - screen grid, Grid 5 - suppressor grid.
Yes, the word grid is a noun, a singular, common, concrete noun; a word for a framework of crisscrossed or parallel bars; a grating or mesh; a set of wires that carries the electricity supply; a network of synchronized power providers and consumers that are connected by transmission and distribution lines; a word for a thing.
a coordinate grid is a grid that has coranades on it (ex.(4,7))

I'm assuming you meant the raised blocks often placed round a drainage grid taking rainwater off the roof guttering and downspouts? In which case, the blocks are there to stop leaves and debris flowing off the surrounding surface (driveway, yard, etc) and blocking the grid.
