A disconnector or isolator switch is used to make sure that an electrical circuit can be completely de-energised for service or maintenance. Such switches are often found in electrical distribution and industrial applications where machinery must have its source of driving power removed for adjustment or repair. High-voltage isolation switches are used in electrical substations to allow isolation of apparatus such as circuit breakers and Transformers, and transmission lines, for maintenance. Often the isolation switch is not intended for normal control of the circuit and is used only for isolation; in such a case, it functions as a second, usually physically distant master switch (wired in series with the primary one) that can independently disable the circuit even if the master switch used in everyday operation is turned on.
Isolator switches have provisions for a padlock so that inadvertent operation is not possible (see: Lockout-Tagout). In high voltage or complex systems, these padlocks may be part of a trapped-key interlock system to ensure proper sequence of operation. In some designs the isolator switch has the additional ability to earth the isolated circuit thereby providing additional safety. Such an arrangement would apply to circuits which inter-connect power distribution systems where both end of the circuit need to be isolated.
The major difference between an isolator and a circuit breaker is that an isolator is an off-load device intended to be opened only after current has been interrupted by some other control device. Safety regulations of the utility must prevent any attempt to open the disconnector while it supplies a circuit.
Standards in some countries for safety may require either local motor isolators or lockable overloads (which can be padlocked).
how we calibrate the level switch
A dead man control is a switch that is held in one hand, and which is activated if you stop holding it (when you are no longer pressing on the switch). If you were to suddenly die (or lose consciousness) you would necessarily lose your grip on the switch. This is a useful precaution for sandblasting because the sandblaster is a very powerful device, which could do tremendous harm if it were to point in the wrong direction. So, since it is possible that you might have a heart attack, a stroke, an epileptic seizure or some other medical problem while sandblasting, if you use a dead man switch, you can set it to turn off the sandblaster if you release the switch, which will protect people in your vicinity if you do suffer any loss of consciousness while sandblasting.

Solenoids are used in Car Starters, Rail road as electric switch. They are also used as valves to control the flow of fluid in appliance like washing machine.
An SPN isolator switch is a circuit breaker; they are a device, which when used can automatically switch off the flow of electricity. They are used to protect a piece of machinery or equipment from damage by an overload of electricity.
On load switching is when a switch can be operated whilst current is still passing through the switch (i.e. it is on load) Offload switching is when a switch is operated whilst there is no current through the switch (i.e. it is offload)
TP isolator means triple Pole Isolator.

The main difference between the two is that a TP isolator is only a "triple pole" isolator. A TPN isolator is a "triple pole" and neutral isolator.
When installing an isolator switch enclosure, make sure that the terminations are tight and secure. If you are using the isolation switch to disconnect a load that must be worked on the following should be checked. Make sure that the handle of the switch is down and locked in the off position. For isolation switches that have windows in the front of them look and make sure that the switch blades are physically in the open position. Then lock the switch in the off position. Always safety first.

Oscillation Isolator was created in 2009.
An air-break link (ABL) switch is designed to interrupt normal load currents (but not fault currents). In order to do so, they usually incorporate some form of very simple arc-extinguishing feature. An isolator switch, on the other hand, is not designed to interrupt current, but to isolate equipment after that equipment has been disconnected (e.g. by opening a circuit breaker).
an off-load device a a switch where there is no current passing through it when its switched, a isolator is a off load device, a light switch is a on-load device because there is current passing through it when its switched.
Isolator - EP - was created on 2006-09-26.
Isolation switches can be closed with loads connected. The isolation switch should not be opened under load unless the switch is load rated. This information can be found on the isolation switch's cover as to the amount of current that can be safely interrupted.
