Nothing much, really. Other than the fact that a real database might contain ALOT MORE of data than a spreadsheet can. ALSO: The database might contain specific data in any field. Much more spesific that any spreadsheet can. Example: BLOB's. Binear Large Object B's. Those can contain almost anything. There are more details around this, but, anyway, a real database is something much more powerful than any spreadsheet (today anyways).
Data can be stored and organized in various ways, such as in databases using structured query language (SQL), in spreadsheets, in data warehouses, or in cloud storage services. Data can also be organized using hierarchical structures, relational databases, graph databases, or NoSQL databases, depending on the requirements of the data and its intended use.
Hierarchical databases organize data in a tree-like structure with parent-child relationships and a strict one-to-many hierarchy, while network databases use a more flexible model with many-to-many relationships through pointers or links between records. Hierarchical databases are faster for accessing data along predefined paths, while network databases allow for more complex data relationships but can be more complex to manage.
Primary sequence databases contain raw sequence data derived from the sequencing of genes etc. whereas secondary sequence databases contain information that is derived from primary sequence databases. For example this could be active site residues of protein families that were found by carrying out multiple sequence alignments on the raw primary sequence database data for a set of related proteins. Primary sequence databases can be nucleic databases (such as EMBL, GenBank or DDBJ) or protein databases (such as Swiss-PROT or trEMBL). An example of a secondary sequence database is PROSITE.
Data can be found in databases, spreadsheets, websites, APIs, data repositories, and data lakes. It's crucial to ensure that the data is accurate, relevant, and obtained ethically, especially with increasing concerns about data privacy and security.
Distributed database is one logical database which is spread out over multiple sites, connected by network. It behaves as it were a single database. Decentralized databases are a group of independent databases spead out over different locations. They are not connected and do not share updates between each other.
Databases are somewhat similar to spreadsheets, but databases are more powerful than spreadsheets because of their ability to manipulate the data.
Manual spreadsheets are made with a pencil on paper. Electronic spreadsheets are made with a program on a computer.

SQL means Structured Query Language. It is a programming language which is mainly used for maintaining databases. Excel is one of the application developed by Microsoft to do calculations, graphs using spreadsheets.

Tables can have columns. You will find them in word processors, spreadsheets and databases. Buildings can have columns.
They are all applications software.

Microsoft Access is a database application and Microsoft Excel is a spreadsheet application. There are some things that both can do, but each is designed primarily for their respective tasks. Spreadsheets are for numerical analysis and manipulation. Databases are for processing lists of data.
Particularly in spreadsheets but also in applications such as databases and word-processors.
