If you're referring to now-extinct humanoid ancestors, then it depends on the species. Two of the smaller were H. habilis and H. floresiensis.

If you're referring to modern humans, there is no scientific term to describe a "type" of people, anymore than there is a demonym for people with long arms, missing fingers, or really nice hair. These things result from a variety of causes and do not constitute a "type" of person.

Many people are short as a result of natural genetic variance, just as many people are tall. However, there are medical conditions which can affect growth and have deleterious side effects. There are literally hundreds of these, the most common being achondroplasia.
