But probably the main reason is that they hunt their prey a little like a lone wolf would hunt its prey. They don't make webs or other traps. They lurk silently or move quietly around until they see some insect that is the right size for them to catch and to eat. Then they usually wait for their prey to get pretty close to them. As soon as the prey is close enough they rush over to it, grapple with it with their four front legs, and bite it to death.
