There is Virtual Family Kingdom which is pretty much a second life online. You can dress your own character, you can buy and put furniture in your rooms(get a couple friends to make it popular and people you don't know come in), you can make all kinds of new friends, there is always new rooms and clothes to buy, I love it! I think you would love it too! You can meet people from different time zones and everything! One thing is you can't say words that come up in red when you type them. You can not cuss or say #'s but a lot of kids make #'s that other kids know what they mean like, won(1) too(2) tree(3) for(4) hive(5) fix(6)h heaven(7) ate(8) mine(9) and tin(10)! There is all kinds of things kids can do!

to me personally IMVU is a good game, it may not be exactly like second life, but it comes close, the only difference is, is that isn't not indepth with character customization or moving around freely like second life. Although i have searched around for other games similar to second life and all that i have found don't compare to Second life. Second Life in my opinion is one of a kind.
