There are 9 rooms. One at top and bottom, three at right, four at left.

Clockwise from top: Hall, Lounge, Dining Room, Kitchen, Ballroom, Conservatory, Billiard Room, Library, and Study.

The international version (Cluedo) inverted the board with four on the right.

The French board has the Sal de Bal at the top, followed by Sera, Sala De Jocuri, Biblioteca, Birou, Hol, Salon, Sufragerie, and Bucaterie.

There are six playable characters in the game clue: Mrs. White, Mr. Green, Mrs. Peacock, Professor Plum, Miss Scarlet, and Colonel Mustard.

There is also a seventh "character", which is Mr. Boddy, who is the victim of the murder to be solved.
