I was given a very young ring dove who was supposedly kicked out of "home " by male parent becasue of being a male. He/she is an adult now less than a year, lives alone in my office. While I was searching for info on how to take care he/she ( now its name) in the net I played a rd mating coo and ever since he/she is obsessed with nest building and cooing for a mate. HE/she does not puff up or bow whem ccoin to his image in the mirror and sit in the nest flutering a bit and cooing. Male of Female? How do I aliviate the apparent anxiety other than a breeding mate. I read 2 females live happy without breeding: I can't tend to breeding habits year rround>. Appreciate answer and any help keeping the little thing happy. Concerned Ownwr
it is the male and female that make the nest. if there is only a male then it may be harder to build a bigger nest.
