When a well pump is running but no water is coming out, it may indicate that the water level in the well has dropped below the pump intake. This can cause the pump to draw in air instead of water, leading to a loss of water flow. In this situation, the pump may continue to run but will not be able to deliver water until the water level in the well is replenished.
A deep well submersible pump can be simply placed into a shallow well and it will work. These pumps actually pump water directly and do not rely on suction. Simply cut your tube to desired length and place the deep pump in the shallow well. -NOTE- this does NOT work the other way - a shallow or jet pump is just that and can never work in a deep well.
A submersible pump is normally fitted with a float switch. As the water rises, the float switch turns the pump on. When the pump empties the water from the level and the level falls again, the float switch turns the pump off again.

you pump the water out until it comes out
You cannot do that. The pump impeller blades will only work one way.You cannot do that. The pump impeller blades will only work one way.
A pitcher pump with a hose attachment works by using a handle to create suction that pulls water up from a well through a pipe. The water is then pushed through the hose for use.
umm....well the water runs through a pump wich cleans the water as it goes through
the water pump is turned by the timing belt and it is recommended that you change the belt at the same time as the water pump
If your well pump has lost prime, you should first check for any leaks in the system. Next, try to reprime the pump by adding water to the pump through the priming port. If this doesn't work, you may need to call a professional well pump technician to help troubleshoot and fix the issue.
Perhaps it has lost suction - is there a re-primer switch or handle on it ? Try re-priming your pump if it still doesn't work it needs a proper check.
Make sure water is not coming from a hose or the relief hole in the water pump first. Replace hose or water pump as needed. If it is the gasket, you might want to spend the extra money and replace the water pump as well. All that work and then have your pump go out soon after is a pain($30-40).Be sure to clean all gasket material and grease/dirt from all surfaces before reinstalling a new gasket/pump.If you want a quick fix try a cooling sys stop leak, follow diirctions on bottle.
it is because the water pump has failed and the blades or fins have rusted off, check your cooling system and it will be full of rust and needs a new water pump
