Remove all the screws holding the electric motor in place. After you have the screws and the cables off, you can safely pull out the electric heater. If you do not know what the electric heater looks like, look at the replacement heater for guidance.4 Place the new electric heater where the old one was. Secure the heater in place by installing the screws. Connect the ribbon cable to the electric heater to finish the wiring.5 Replace the air handler cover and secure it in place with the screwdriver. Turn on the power by inserting the electrical disconnect back in place or turn on the circuit breaker .
