Nail lacquer and nail polish are essentially the same thing. Both terms refer to the colored liquid that is applied to nails to add color and shine. The term "nail lacquer" is often used by high-end or professional brands to give a more sophisticated or luxurious image, while "nail polish" is the more common term used by everyday consumers.
They are basicaly the same. I believe nail lacquer is just thicker.
The difference is nail polish, is basicly nail paint....But nail varnish is like the special nail paint they use to make designs on your nails. - - - - - Nail polish, nail varnish, nail paint and nail lacquer are four names for the same stuff. It just comes down to what the manufacturer wants to call it.
Nail polish (nail varnish) is a lacquer applied to toenails or fingernails for appearance, but also as nail protection.

LA Colorts nail lacquer hardner
shellac nail polish is half gel and half polish, and its cured by UV light and dries IMMEDIATELY after the manicure process. the UV light sorta makes the shellac nail paint go plasticy, which makes it lasts longer. its thin, but super glossy and lasts up to 2 weeks. i'm not sure what lacquer nail polish is made out of, but i know that it dries super quick (without UV light) and can be applied in one quick flick. it's also super glossy. so maybe the difference is that shellac nail polish is half gel and it's cured by UV light? idk. hope i helped:)

Devise a scraper of hard plastic by sharpening the edge of an old credit card. This will not scratch wood, but is effective as a scraper. Scrape off all the polish that you can. You probably won't get all of it off, and the only solution for the rest is lacquer thinner (nail polish is essentially lacquer). Lacquer thinner will likely mar or partially dissolve the finish on the door, but you can start weak, using a rag wet with hair spray, then graduating to commercial nail polish remover. You might be completely successful, or you might remove the polish at the expense of a marred spot in the door - it's your choice.
Try it on a small, hidden area, but it should be fine. Nail polish is a kind of paint called nitrocellulose lacquer; if the solvent (acetone) won't dissolve the plastic, go for it.
