If the door handle comes off, you can try to reattach it using a screwdriver or seek help from a professional handyman to fix it properly.
Take off the door panel. the plastic clip that holds the metal rod to the door handle came off or broke off. replace it.

Through the hole that the door handle comes through you can feel a screw. Remove the screw and the handle should come off.
Open the door and look on the edge with the latch, there should be one large screw that holds the door handle to the door. Take the handle off and you should have access to the locks now.

Open the door and release the screw that holds the handle. The screw is right above the locking mechanism. You should be looking at the side of the door that is covered by the door jamb when the door is closed.
take the inside door panel off and the water paper, disconnect any rods from the handle and then there should be 2 bolts that hold the handle on, take the bolts out and the handle will come out.
remove interior door panel, remove 2-4 speed nuts at back of door handle & the main linkage bar, it should come off.
OK on the inside of the door jam on the door there is a plastic cover that unsnaps take that off there is a hole even with the handle there should be a clear cover over the hole take the cover off and there should be a gold t20 torx bit unscrew and this will take the thumb piece off pull handle out a little and the thumb peace should come off then to get the handle part off look in the hole where the thumb peace was u should see a wire that has a plastic black peace that is hooked on a rod u have to pull that rod back to unhook the plastic peace to unhook push away to release from rod then slide handle to back of car about 1/4 in and that should take handle off if u have to take it all the way off look on the inside of door and take all the torx bolts out on the sides and bottom the outer skin will come loose then be careful close the door slow the front of door will rub on front finder it is really tight then the door skin is still attached by the handle area u need to slide the door to the front of car it will unhook and come completely off reverse to put on
