If it's a genuine Webkinz pet, and doesn't have a W on it's paw (there are no pets that I know of that have a W on the butt). Then it means that that Webkinz is a first generation Webkinz. After the first generation they added W's to all the new Webkinz paws. Thus, if you have a real Webkinz pet with no W on it's paw, then you have a first generation Webkinz pet!
