how do i take the door off i cant get it off where the door handle is There is a screw underneath the handle - do you see it there? After removing the screw the plastic housing will come out.......it moves in a back and up motion. The panel will come out by force. Just pull hard on the outer edges - you might break a couple of the fasteners but that's a given. There are three screws total I believe so look around.

You broke the stop in the cartridge. The only thing to do now is drill out the head of the screw. If you use the right size, you should be able to drill out the head and get the handle off. There should be enough of the screw left that you can remove it with pliers, but you will probably be replacing the cartridge. They are not terribly expensive. The most expensive is around $30. Drill bit size is probably 3/16 or 1/4 if you are careful.
try pulling on the handle while using a screw driver to actuate it.
First stick a nail(or screw driver) between the handle bar and handle grips than get about three pinches of sand or dirt in-between the two after that take the nail out and twist and pull and it should come out.

The cap does NOT come off. It is all part of the handle. To take the whole handle off, there is a set screw at the back that can be undone with an allen key. The older discontinued models, the cap can be pried off with a small screwdriver.
