Golden rudd typically have a lifespan of around 5 to 10 years in the wild, depending on environmental factors and habitat conditions. In optimal conditions, some individuals may live longer. Their longevity can also be influenced by factors such as predation, food availability, and water quality.

Golden Hamsters live 3-4 years, and if it's lucky, 5.

Kevin Rudd has been in parliament since 1998.
Golden Rudd are a man made coloured version of the common Rudd (Scardinus erythrophthalmus) which is a native fish of the UK. My knowledge of them only comes from catching them on rod and line. To the best of my knowledge they grow to over 3 lbs. This would make them unsuitable for small aquaria. They would be best in a pond situation.
