The King of England would be the head of the British Royal Family. However, England has a Queen. This is because Queen Elizabeth II took over the throne after her father's death. When she married Prince Philip, he could not assume a title which would be higher than Queen Elizabeth's, hence he remains a prince and has also been given the title "Duke of Edinburgh", but cannot be given the title "King" or "King Consort" like other men throughout history is various royal families.

Nicholas II, last Tsar of Russia, was ALSO related to the British Royal family, through HIS mother, Maria Feodorovna.
