Henry VII was the youngest child. He had an older sister and an older brother, named Arthur, who married Catherine of Aragon, Henry VII's first wife. Arthur, being smaller and weaker physically than Henry, died about a year after marrying Catherine, leaving Henry VII as successor to the throne. Henry VII had adored Catherine of Aragon, so he married her, making her queen of England and his first of six wives. It was also the fact that Catherine had been previously married to Henry's sister that was the grounds for Henry VII's annulling their marriage later on, when he met Anne Boleyn.
