Was King Henry the eighth the Antichrist?

He seemed to operate out of an antichrist spirit. Antichrist means not only against Christ, but "instead of" Christ. Henry sent many faithful servants of Jesus to the fire or to the scaffold to be executed, because Henry wanted to take the Holy Spirit's place as Lord of their conscience. Henry declared himself head of the church, while The Bible teaches there is only one Lord and one mediator between God and man (I Tim.2:5), Jesus. Henry put himself between God and the worshipper and killed all who differed with him about doctrine. I'm reminded of King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon who burnt up those who refused to bow to his image. Henry murdered those who refused to subscribe to his articles of faith. He put a religious prayer book he wrote on an equal footing with the Bible, contrary to numerous scriptures which warn man not to add to, or take from, the Word of God. There are many with the antichrist spirit, but the Antichrist of Revelation will come in the future and terrorize the whole world.
