It would depend primarily whether you had money or not. I live in a Victorian house, which was built for a school teacher and his family. It has Gothic windows, but other than that quite plain. The Victorians were a very inverted set of people, and covered the legs of tables etc, because they were considered rude.!!! If you were rich, you covered your walls with pictures and all sorts of ornaments.. if you were poor you lived in a terraced house. Which would have had no toilet, and what toilet s you did have, were shared with many other houses. Rich houses were of all sorts of sizes, depending on where you lived. I would say that there are no typical rich Victorian houses.
