indira gandhi canal in rajasthan from sutluj river to jaisalmer
The canal gets its water from a point just below the confluence of the Satluj and Beas rivers. At that actual point, I believe it is the Satluj River.
Satluj
Narmada River is where the Indira Sagar dam is located. This dam was made by Indira Gandhi.
The Indira Gandhi Canal, also known as the Rajasthan Canal, originates from the Sutlej River near Ferozepur in Punjab, India. It stretches approximately 650 kilometers through the Thar Desert, primarily serving the irrigation needs of Rajasthan. The canal provides water to several districts, including Bikaner, Jaisalmer, and Churu, helping to transform arid land into cultivable agricultural areas. It plays a crucial role in enhancing agricultural productivity and supporting the livelihoods of farmers in the region.
it is located in punjab on river satluj
Indira Gandhi was cremated at Shakti Sthal,in New Delhi,India. It has a rock shaped like hand placed there, the symbol of her political party(Congress).....so its the Samadhi.
do you mean the canal or the river itself? neither one floats. the canal is built on the riverbed and is created in such a way that it can be sealed, allowing no water through. as for the river, well it can't float on itself.

No the Erie Canal did not join the Ohio River. But New York was not the only state that built canals. The state of Ohio also built canals. The Miami and Erie Canal went to the Ohio River. The Erie and Ohio Canal also reached the Ohio River. Neither of these canals were as successful as the Erie Canal.
