It is not the going over it that helps so much. But when you study or do homework and then you go to sleep, it is the sleep that helps you remember it because when you are unconcious (asleep) your mind can work on sorting everything out that happend during the day. If anything you should study or do your homework then go to bed, then in the morning to a quick review of it. That always helped me in school.
