No, medical insurance and dental insurance are two different products. In fact, employers often go through different insurance companies for each in an effort to find the right price. Your medical insurance card will typically not cover dental, although big ticket things like a broken jaw or oral surgery are actually considered medical.

However, an employer who offers medical in many cases (but not all) also offers dental to its employees.
