Golgi apparatus
The Golgi body in a plant cell is responsible for processing and packaging proteins and lipids produced by the endoplasmic reticulum for transport to other parts of the cell or for secretion outside the cell. It plays a crucial role in modifying, sorting, and packaging these molecules into vesicles for delivery to their final destination within the cell or for export.
The Golgi packages materials into vesicles for transport or export from the cell. These vesicles can fuse with the cell membrane to release their contents outside the cell or to other cellular compartments.
Endocytosis.
And out of the cell as needed. The Golgi body.
The Golgi apparatus is responsible for packaging and releasing materials out of the cell. If this organelle were to malfunction or become inactive, the cell would not be able to properly package and release materials.
The Golgi apparatus puts the finishing touches on proteins by modifying and sorting them before packaging them into vesicles for export from the cell. These vesicles can then merge with the cell membrane, releasing the proteins outside of the cell.
The endoplasmic reticulum (ER) is responsible for exporting proteins and lipids out of the cell, while the Golgi apparatus packages and modifies these materials for export. Import of materials into the cell is primarily facilitated by receptor-mediated endocytosis, where materials are engulfed by the cell membrane and brought into the cell in vesicles.
Golgi act as shipping company. It packs and export materials.
Waste materials are carried out of a cell by a process called exocytosis. This involves packaging the waste into vesicles and fusing them with the cell membrane to release the waste outside the cell.
It helps in protein synthesis as well as packaging of materials into lysosomes and secretory activities of cell.
In a plant cell, the Golgi apparatus is responsible for packaging and modifying proteins and lipids produced in the cell. It processes these molecules and prepares them for transport to other parts of the cell or for secretion outside of the cell. Additionally, the Golgi apparatus plays a role in synthesizing cell wall components and other plant-specific molecules.
