But, Clots will dissolve on their own, which takes time. Surgery can be done, but is very painful, and Drs don't like to do this, unless everything else has not solved the problem. Use 'tucks' or hemorrhoid cream for acute ones. They are caused by being constipated. Ie: not drinking enough water, not eating enough fiber, and lack of exercise. These are totally avoidable (except in pregnancy-where the pressure from baby may cause them). Educate yourself and prevention is the best medicine.
