At this time, Victor is a student of "natural philosophy", which involves chemistry and other science. Also of note: Victor Frankenstein is the creator of the monster, which is called the "creature" for much of the time in the novel. The creature has no name.

Just one hour from the heart of Geneva, Switzerland by car or bus is the famous mountain resort of Chamonix at the base of Mont Blanc in the French Alps. Taking the gondola up and over the mountain gives travelers the opportunity to have breakfast in France, lunch in Italy, and dinner back in Geneva in Switzerland. Chamonix is a good sized resort with lots of restaurants and hotels for people wishing to enjoy all the sites of the area including the glacier and ski slopes.
Because it was regarded as a neutral country.
Switzerland is a country made up of people from the surrounding countries and has 4 official languages, French, German, Italian and Swiss. The latter is a dialect spoken by very few people, mainly those in the German speaking areas outside of the big cities. The language and area speaks is usually related to the country that has the closest border. In the case of Geneva, it is located in the French speaking area. Most Swiss can speak the language of the area they were born in plus English and the other two languages of Switzerland.
It would be known as a theocracy.
Not many. As we know a theocracy is defined as a government set up, in which god/deity is the surpereme ruler. it's Rules and customs are based on the particular religion. So for example, if the United States were a theocracy, it would be Mandatory to go to church on Sundays. It would be illegal to believe in other gods. You have no rights. The only right you have, is what preached by the church.
