Just so you know, it's called a chrysalis, not a cocoon. They are very different structures for very different creatures.
The bug that has three stages in its life cycle is the butterfly. It starts as an egg laid on a plant, hatches into a larva or caterpillar, then undergoes metamorphosis in a chrysalis or pupa before emerging as a fully developed adult butterfly.
A goose egg before it hatches, is about 4 inches long.
Currently, the monarch butterfly is experiencing some habitat loss and may be affected by climate change. However, they are not evaluated by the endangered species list. I would say it's unlikely they will go extinct at all, since they could be raised in captivity.
Monarch butterfly caterpillars are yellow, black, and white striped and grow to be about two inches long before they pupate.
A monarchs chrysalis is green with golden bumps. Just before a caterpillar transforms into a butterfly, the chrysalis becomes transparent.
In 2013, monarchs occupied only 3 acres. Before that, they covered over 50 acres during the summer layover in Mexico.
it is about a chick hatching and how it feels when it hatches and before it hatches
The mother of a caterpillar is called a female butterfly or moth, as they are the parent that lays the eggs from which the caterpillar hatches. The female butterfly or moth typically lays her eggs on or near plants that will serve as food for the emerging caterpillar. Once the eggs hatch, the caterpillar will feed on the plant before eventually forming a chrysalis or cocoon and undergoing metamorphosis into an adult butterfly or moth.

You should release it immediately so it can begin to let its wings dry out in the sun. You'll notice how damp and crinkled they are when they're fresh. The butterfly must let them dry in the sun before it can begin flying. Usually this doesn't take too long.
The egg yolk nourishes the chick until it hatches.
