if it bites you it dependes if your allergic to them. its just like gettin bit by a spider.

I dont think its a good idea to eat a centipede
about2 or 3 spicies of centipedes are poisonous but the others arnt if you ever find a red catapiller remember that they are red for a reason so if a bird eats it its poisonous sometimes the fib but remember to just stay away from them

Centipedes are venomous, much the same way that snakes and Spiders are venomous - that is, there is a huge spectrum of venom across the many species of centipedes. Clearly those who have allergic reactions or have complications from the medical treatment may be at risk of death - although this appears highly unlikely. Centipedes do not target humans - in fact, centipedes typically eat insects that we don't like to have around (cockroaches, for instance). Centipedes in South America have been known to eat bats (on the fly, no less). So centipedes most likely bite humans as a defense mechanism because they feel threatened.
