Yes, true story,.....we have a dog and of course having three daughters they didn't want to go to the deck after dark to bring his food dish in. so it didn't take long for the slugs to make their way up a flight of out side steps to find the dogs food, by the time morning came they'd be all gone. And I'd be washing the residual slime from his bucket,..off and on for the last couple of years one slug would come up every night to see if the food dish had been left out,...if not the lone slug would go away if it was 4to 5 would be up the stairs eating. My husband took the dog on a camping trip for allmost 2 weeks,....guess what no slugs,....the dog came back and that very night they came up the stairs looking for his food,.....I believe that proves intelligents!
