No. Wet wings are too heavy for the bees to fly.
Apart from the obvious (flying !) - They also use them to regulate the temperature of the hive. Many worker bees will stand at the entrance to the hive, and beat their wings in order to circulate fresh air into the heart of the colony.

Bees can produce buzzing sounds by the rapid movement of their wings. The buzzing noise is created when the wings beat against the air at a high frequency. Bees use this buzzing sound for communication within the hive and to signal danger or excitement.
All bees have four wings.
When bees are standing still, the wings are folded back along the body. When they are flying the wings expand perpendicular to the body.

To fly
Honey bees may go out in very light rain, if it is warm enough, but they won't fly in heavy rain. They are also good at forecasting the weather. I have noticed no bees flying from my hives and wondered why not because the weather was fine -- and a short time later it was raining. Imagine what it would be like if you were the size of a honey bee and were hit by a raindrop!
Bees primarily use flying as their main mode of locomotion. They have wings that allow them to move quickly and efficiently from one place to another. Bees also use walking to move around on surfaces like flowers, plants, and the hive.
No bees are brown on there legs and hands and they are clear on there wings
The butterfly does not belong to a colony, but the bee is part of a hive.
