I don't think limes in water kill fresh flowers... They might... I heard somewhere that if you add lemon and lime drink (with sugar) it actually helps the plant to live longer... Basically, I think the sugar is the key.
marine water is sea water/ salt water - this will kill the flower. Distilled water in this case is best.
I wouldn't let them. Flowers can have pesticides or harmfull chemicals on them to kill bugs.
Flowers will not grow with soda better than they will with water. The sugar and carbonation in soda can kill flowers.

Yes it can.
Hot water is not good for flowers. If the water is hot enough it can actually kill all of your flowers.

windex or dishsoap? will they kill flowers
Yes, weed & feed WILL kill flowers. Scoop out what you can (you MAY be able to use a leaf blower) wash off what you can, continue to water the flowers, and hope for the best.
Regular water, salt water is likely to kill them (If it is very salty)
Yes. It could kill them.
No, not fresh water. But salt water from oceans or water with soap in it is toxic to caterpillars, which would make them die.
