Yes. But you have to be careful. (And taste is a secondary concern!) Slugs feed on vegetation, but also decaying flesh and poisonous mushrooms and they can carry meningitis. Like snails, but more so, they would need to be purged (by feeding them on lettuce or bran) and thoroughly cleaned inside and out. Then boiled for maybe 3 lots of 10 minutes, cleaning between each boiling. Then fried in garlic butter. An awful lot of work for little reward and still a slim risk of being ill! Stick to professionally prepared snails!
