Switching from Pristiq (desvenlafaxine) to Prozac (fluoxetine) typically requires a careful weaning process to minimize withdrawal symptoms and avoid potential side effects. It is important to consult a healthcare provider before making any changes to your medication regimen, as they can provide personalized guidance on the safest way to transition between these two medications. Abruptly stopping one medication and starting another can lead to complications, so a gradual taper may be necessary.
Not without undergoing uncomfortable withdrawal symptoms.
i wouldn't worry too much about weaning off of Prozac...it's acclimating to effexor (and weaning off of it) that's tough.that said, effexor worked wonderfully for me, pulling me out of a very deep hole.it's just that it has side effects that can be pretty rough.
I just saw my Dr. Today because I am switching from Lexapro to Prozac because of weight gain on Lexapro. This is coming from my Dr. You MUST NOT MIX LEXAPRO and PROZAC. They are not compatible chemically. You must allow at least 3 or more days for the one drug to "wash out" of your system before you start the new one. You may need more time than that. Confirm this with your Dr.
It depends on many things: what you were taking Pristiq for in the first place, what dosage, what you've tried before, what side effects you suffered from with Pristiq, etc. The best alternative (as in, most equivalant switch) would be Cymbalta which is the only other approved SNRI (subtype of antidepressant that includes Effexor, Pristiq and Cymbalta). Effexor also, but Pristiq is the "upgraded" version of Effexor already (as Lexapro is the "upgraded" version of Celexa). Only a doctor can determine which is the best alternative for you.
It depends on your doctor's recomendations. Prozac is a stronger and different form of medicine, and you will not act the same way you did when you move to Welbutrin. It is safe to take Welbutrin and Prozac at the same time. Even when used together they work on two different parts of the brain. Welburtin is used more for depression, and Prozac is used more for Anxiety. If you are more anxious than depressed, then stay with the Prozac family. If you are more depressed, then move to Welbutrin. If you decide to move over, wean onto welbutrin (this will be rather quick due to welburtin has few sideeffects and you start with a high dose rather quickly); then after a couple of weeks to a month keep a journal. You may decide to stay on Welbutrin and Prozac at the same time. If you decide to still move away from the Provac then wean off. It will take up to a month to wean off from Prozac. During this time-frame keep a journal of your behaviours each day. Write down the days that you are upset for no reason, and the days that you are extremely happy, also note any other behaviors that are outside of your normal. This will help you determine is Prozac is good for you or not. It will also let you know that when you come off of Prozac completely, Welbutrin will not be able to control your anxiety and depression alone.
can you switch from remeron to paxil without a break in between
No. You must not switch pills without doctor's order.
One way to move a light switch without rewiring it is to use a wireless remote control switch. This allows you to control the light from a different location without the need for rewiring.
You can test a light switch without removing it by using a voltage tester or a multimeter to check if there is electricity flowing through the switch when it is turned on.
Yes, a circuit can work without a switch if it is designed to be always on or if the components are connected directly without the need for a switch to control the flow of current. However, in many applications, a switch is necessary to control when the circuit is on or off.
If the switch is properly bypassed, then yes.
Yes, but you should discuss it with your MD and do it with their permission. You should always try to take it at the same time give or take one hour before or after the usual time.
