I don't know if this helps but I am a 41yo man and i am prescribed Klonopin and Seroquel (Klonopin is about the same drug as Valium, same family but i think klonopin is a little stronger) anyway I take them both at the same time in the morning (1mg Klonopin, 300mg Seroquel) and at night (2mg Klonopin, 300mg Seroquel). I also take 1mg twice during the day. I have no problem with it except the Seroquel makes me drowsy and hungry. My Dx is Bi-polar schizo-affective and general anxiety disorder. Hope this helps.
There is an algorithm that your doctor probably follows. Everyone fills in a different drug-profile. But, yes there is other medications for Bipolar disorder. The benefit of quetiapine (seroquel) is that can be prescribed for lows and ups (depression and mania) in bipolar disorder. Other drugs are lamotrigine (lamictal), lithium, aripiprazole, risperidone, carbamazepine, olanzapine, clozapine, ziprasidone, fluoxetine combined with olanzapine (symbyax, specially for bipolar depression).
Combining Adderall, Lamictal, and Seroquel can lead to various side effects due to potential drug interactions. Adderall may increase anxiety and agitation, while Seroquel can cause sedation and weight gain. Lamictal may contribute to skin rashes or mood changes. It's crucial to consult a healthcare professional for personalized advice and monitoring when taking these medications together, as individual responses can vary significantly.
Seroquel is an atypical antipsychotic. It is used for the management if manic symptoms in bipolar patients and is also used in schizophrenia. Lamictal is an antiepileptic, that has an off label use as a mood stabilizer in bipolar disorder. Seroquel XL is the long acting form of the drug that has an enteric coating to help the drug be released slowly throughout a 24 hour period. There are immediate release tablets available also.
The effectiveness of Lamictal (lamotrigine) versus Seroquel (quetiapine) for treating bipolar disorder can vary based on individual patient needs and symptoms. Lamictal is primarily used for mood stabilization and is effective in preventing depressive episodes, while Seroquel is an atypical antipsychotic that can help manage both manic and depressive episodes. The choice between the two often depends on the specific type of bipolar disorder, patient history, and potential side effects. Consulting with a healthcare provider is crucial to determine the best treatment option.

Hi. I have Bipolar 1 and currently take 50 mg Seroquel and 200 mg Lamictal. I was just put on 10mg Celexa to help with unexpected depression. And I take Ativan sparingly if I feel anxious. They can be taken together, but I do not know about dosage. I think it's best if you check with your doctor. Good luck!
im about to find out.... im prescribed both to take and never have.. well k ye ai have but didnt do much... im about to have weed, seroquel and vicodin and see how that turns out.. wish me luck :) Hello, if your prescribed seroquel and klonapin for bipolar disorders or mania, schizophrenia etc, you can take the 2 medications.. Im schizophrenic and take seroquel and clonazapam...AKA Klonapin.. clonazapam is just the generic form of it..Also while your on these 2 medications. DO Not Drink ALchohol....ive ended up in the hospital 2-3 times because of overdose because alchohol Intensifies the medications. I had to learn the hard way..anyways hope this helps.
Taking such high doses of Seroquel (quetiapine) and Lamictal (lamotrigine) can cause serious and potentially life-threatening side effects such as extreme sedation, respiratory depression, seizures, and cardiac issues. It is important to never exceed the recommended doses for these medications and seek immediate medical help if an overdose is suspected.
I don't think "High" is the right terminology. Those drugs mixed together if not prescribed can be a very dangerous combination. They can bring on a drug induced coma. You can absolutely destroy your body if you ever take these drugs together without a doctors permission. A coma is very likely and coming out of it an happen in rare cases but brain damage may occur even if one recovers for such an event. I take these medications every night, and nothing happens besides a powerful need to sleep after about an hr with the seroquel. No coma at all.
Yes, Wellbutrin (bupropion), Seroquel (quetiapine), and Lamictal (lamotrigine) can be taken together, but this combination should only be prescribed and monitored by a healthcare professional. Each of these medications serves different purposes, such as treating depression, bipolar disorder, or anxiety, and there may be potential interactions or side effects. Always consult with your doctor to ensure that this combination is safe and appropriate for your specific circumstances.
