Ants are attracted to sugary substances, including brown sugar, due to its high carbohydrate content. However, their preference can vary by species; some may prefer other sugars or food sources depending on their nutritional needs. While brown sugar can be appealing to many ants, it isn't universally their favorite. Overall, different types of sugar can attract different species of ants.
