Yes they can; however, they prefer areas where they can easily obtain a blood meal when the host lays down. A pillow may get folded and block the exit for the bed bugs to get to the host. They prefer seams, cracks, and other "open" tight spaces.

If possible launder them and use the dryer on high heat for at least 20 minutes. The heat will kill all BedBugs and their eggs.

If not possible then use steam. There are several steamers on the market and if you go over the entire pillow several times the heat of the steam will kill them and their eggs.

After you have done either of those then it is best to cover your pillows in specially designed encasement's that keep BedBugs and even dust mites from getting into or out of your pillow.

The odds are pretty good that if BedBugs are in your pillows they are in other places as well like your mattress and box springs. In this case we would again recommend steam. Using steam is a Green non toxic method for killing BedBugs.

After you steam your mattress and box springs then the encasement's are a necessary step because in trying to steam those large areas some of the BedBugs may have survived.
