Catterpillars don't bite people, but their hairs can sometimes act as a sort of sting. Hope this helps.

No all animals bite including us humans. To explain it, it is because we do any thing to protect us when we are in danger and so do animals nearly all animals bite for self-protection although some like stingrays do not bite, but they sting, the way all animals protect themselves are still called biting. Even fish bites
It does nothing but carries on its task. That task, however, may be to protect the colony from invaders, and if it believes you are an invader, some species will attack. Most don't, but the aggressive "Fire Ants" in southern US states attack quickly and in large numbers. They have a sting that burns like fire and in some people can raise a blister and be painful for several days. Other people can have severe allergic responses from the venom which comes not from a bite, but from an area on their abdomen.Another species of ants that harm you with venom are called bull ants and are mostly in Australia.
Most ants are very harmless to us.Some people try to kill them but they cannot harm you so I don`t know why.Bullet Ants are the worst ant.In other countries men get in shorts and pour Bullet Ants on them. They pinch and bite away and poisen your skin!It also harms your Blood Samples some people say which I belive. But the only harmfull thing about ants in the dreadfull Bullet Ants breed.
yes because they sting us. they sting us because they like stinging us. so they are evil
Ants and flies are both insects, but that is about as much as they are like each other. Ants are descended from certain kinds of wasps and if you carefully compare the build of an ant and a wasp, you can see that they are very much alike; in fact some kinds of ants, especially the flying ants, look very much like wasps, and some kinds of wasps look very much like ants. Many ants, like many wasps, have stings, and most wasps, like most ants, can bite. Flies do however differ from wasps, just as humans differ from horses, though both of us are mammals. Flies don't have stings, and they cannot bite, though some kinds, like horse flies and mosquitoes, have piercing mouthparts that they can stick through your skin to suck blood. Ants cannot do that, because their mouthparts are cutting or crushing jaws like pincers. Flying ants each have four wings like most wasps and most other flying insects, and in a way, so do flies, but the flies are in the order Diptera (which means "two-winged ones"). In fact, flying flies do have four wings, not two, but their hind wings have shrunk into little clubs we call "halteres". When they fly, flies swing their halteres like tiny gyroscopes. They use those "gyroscopes" to keep their balance, and use their front wings for flying, much as we use our hind legs for walking and our front legs (which we call "arms") for balance (among other things). So you could say that the difference between a horse and a human is much like the difference between a flying ant (or other type of wasp) and a fly.
because they don't have teeth and they don't sting but they are shy
Fire ants got to the US is by travelingunderground. Then when they are hungry the stop and search for food.
A starfish is unable to bite because it lacks teeth. When a starfish eats, it lays on its pray and throughts up its stomach, similar to a fly, it then eats it stomach again with its prey.
When insects bite or sting us they inject their venom into our skin. That venom can cause a slight allergic response- the skin around that bite starts to itch. The main ingredient in calamine lotion is a combination of zinc oxide and iron that acts as an anti itch agent when topically applied to the bite area. The lotion sooths the skin and relieves the itch.
