Almost all Spiders are nocturnal by nature but it's not necessarily because they dislike light. It has more to do with the fact that almost all spiders make a web above ground level to be able to trap flying insects. Flying insects account for the majority of all arachnids diets. So considering the fact that most flying insects are attracted to light it would only make since that a spider would hunt at night so as to be able to place its web next to a light source. It's really all about letting the prey come to you.
