yes they shed about once every year starting at age three

ANSWER

yes and no. When a tarantula sheds it is considered molting due to the fact that unlike most animals, it sheds an exoskeleton. It takes anywhere from 30 minutes to 24 hours for the molting process. Hope This Helped:)
