The female mantis can eat its partner if he makes her mad enough during their compulation. But not if he doesn't bug her much. The male can fight back but hes no match for the larger female. Oh and, one more thing, the female mantis only eats the males head.

Mantis Tip: Female mantis' are usually green and have 8 sections in their abdomin. Male mantis' are usually brown (like bark on a tree) and have 6 sections in their abdomin.
