The best way I know, for Spiders and a lot of other things, is like this:

Go somewhere near a spider, but so far away from it that you're not scared at all. (If that means it's hundreds of feet away, that's okay, as long as you know where it is.) Then go towards it JUST UNTIL YOU START TO FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE. Then STOP, and back off or go away, far enough that you're completely comfortable again. Wait at least a little while before going back; then do the same thing -- go only as far as you're comfortable and then stop. Keep repeating this. Maybe you'll do it once a day. You'll find that you naturally get a little closer before you get uncomfortable. Just keep on repeating this until you're satisfied that you're no longer afraid of spiders.
