Asian long horned beetle dont bite but they sting and their sting is very very painful. The acute pain last anywhere from 24 hours to 48 hours. Normally you will see the swelling near the bite. In some cases where treated immediately with an ointment or cool the sting area with ice cubes, swelling does not occur.
