How do invertebrates move?

Invertebrates have a hard outer shell, called an exoskeleton. Muscles are attached to the inside of the exoskeleton, and contraction of these flexes the joints.

It depends on what animal it is. A jellyfish, for instance, moves by swaying its body back and forth. A caterpillar uses its small legs to move.
