National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme

The programme (nvbdcp) is for prevention and vector-borne disease control, viz. Dengue, malaria, Chikungunya fever, Japanese encephalitis (JE), Kala-azar and Lymphatic Filariasis these are six diseases, It is transmitted by sand flies. The broadcast of vector-borne diseases depends on prevalence infectious vectors and human-vector contact, which is influenced by various factors like such as climate, people's sleep habits, density and bite vectors etc.

What is the current growth rate of nvbdcp?

Vectors

Vectors are organisms that cause the transmission of infectious pathogens between humans or from animals to humans. Most of these vectors are blood-feeding insects, which take the germs that produce the disease during blood meal from an infected host (human or animal) and then transmit it to a new host after obtaining a pathogenic replicated. Often, once a vector becomes infected, they spread the disease throughout each subsequent bite / blood meal for the rest of their lives.

Vector born diseases

Vector-borne diseases are human diseases caused by parasites, viruses and bacteria. Every year more than 700,000 people die from diseases such as malaria, dengue, schistosomiasis, human African trypanosomiasis, leishmaniasis, Chagas disease, yellow fever, Japanese encephalitis and oncoserosis.

The burden of these diseases is high in the tropics and subtropics and they affect the poor population disproportionately. Since 2014, a major outbreak of dengue, malaria, chikungunya, yellow fever and Zika has affected populations, claimed lives and flooded health systems in many countries. Other diseases, such as chikungunya, leishmaniasis and lymphatic filariasis, can cause chronic illness, lifelong illness, disability and occasional stigma. The distribution of vector-borne diseases is determined by a complex set of population, environmental and social factors. To read full article plaese connect www. community health nursing . guru

What do mosquitoes and flies sometimes transmit?

Different types of mosquitoes and flies have been known to transmit various pathogens for diseases. Common ones are Yellow Fever and West Nile virus.

What is the relationship between pathogens and vectors?

Vectors are living organisms that can transmit pathogens from one host to another. For example, mosquitoes are vectors that can transmit diseases such as malaria and dengue fever by carrying and transmitting the pathogens that cause these diseases. Pathogens rely on vectors to help them spread and infect new hosts.

Do mosquitoes and flies transmit milaria?

mosquitoes do, i am not sure about flies. they figured out that mosquitoes do when they were building the panama canal.

Is a spider a vector?

No, a spider is not considered a vector in the epidemiological sense. Vectors are organisms, typically insects like mosquitoes or ticks, that transmit pathogens from one host to another. While spiders can prey on insects, they do not typically carry or transmit diseases to humans or animals.

All mosquitoes have dengue?

Are metal bullets mechanical or biological vectors?

Metal bullets are considered mechanical vectors because they are inanimate objects that can physically transmit diseases or pathogens when they come in contact with a person's blood or tissues. Biological vectors, on the other hand, are living organisms like mosquitoes or ticks that can transmit diseases through bites.

Are mosquitoes born with diseases?

That is a good question! Mosquitoes do not die from the diseases they carry. Otherwise the would not get chance to transmit the diseases they carry.

Are mosquitoes protists?

No. Mosquitoes transmit protists through biting, which is where diseases like malaria come from.

Is dengue is cause by virus?

Yes, Dengue fever is a disease caused by one of a number of viruses that are carried by mosquitoes. These mosquitoes then transmit the virus to humans.
