Ask God for forgiveness, repentance guidance, and the gift of the Holy Spirit. Avoid people, places, and situations wherein you tend to commit sins so often as much as you can. Depart from evil. Do good deeds. Pray every day-how about 3 times a day, like what Daniel did? Keep in mind, though, that all men are sinners and have fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23), except for Christ (1 Peter 2:22). Humans are prone to sin. Therefore, you cannot exactly be sinless. Not like the LORD expects you to be so, anyway. He wants you to be blameless and holy in love before Him, not sinless.
People would visit a Temple or a Synagogue because they knew if they got rid of their sins then they would be accepted into heaven. Back in the time of Jesus it was a thing to do if you went to Jerusalem to go and see a temple and to get rid of your sins
Babtism is symbolic for washing away sins. Jesus was babtised by John the Babtist as an example for others to be rid of their sins and obey God's law.
