How do you tell a praying mantis is pregnant?

The praying mantis produces an egg pouch that it puts on a leaf somewhere so it would get about as pregnant as a hen that lays eggs.
I just had a female lay her egg sack. it was really cool to watch. we knew when we found her on my door. She was moving real slow and her belly was dragging. She wouldn't hardly eat the crickets that we got for her now when I woke up this morning 10/30/10 she was making her egg sack in the aquarium that we had her in. It was really cool to see this. Now she is skinny and moving pretty fast.

Think of a grasshopper, but a smaller head and a bigger thorax. It's legs are lifted up as though it looks like they are praying, praying for food to come along.
