Grasshoppers use camouflage as their primary method of hiding from predators. Their coloration often blends in with the surrounding vegetation, allowing them to remain inconspicuous among grass and leaves. Additionally, they can remain motionless to avoid detection, and some species may even mimic the appearance of twigs or other natural elements. When threatened, grasshoppers may also use their quick jumping ability to escape quickly.
