Tarantula behavior can vary between species and ranges from totally docile to jumpy and aggressive. A docile tarantula is happy to just stay still most of the time and dig or climb. When disturbed it will usually run to its burrow and hide or just stay where it is. An aggressive tarantula may also stay still but will jump and possibly attack when threatened or disturbed. It is more likely to get up on its hind legs and reach forward with its front legs in an attack position.

When a tarantula is hungry it will usually lay some silk or come out of it's burrow and investigate its surroundings.
